Our baseball program consists of Minors and Majors teams that participate in the Buena Little League Baseball Charter. Each team is comprised of players from the WACYL community that compete with other teams under the Buena Baseball Association. Participation in this program requires travel for at least 50% of the games that are played at locations outside of the WACYL community. The home field for the Minors and Majors team is at the Weymouth Municipal Complex on 45 South Jersey avenue in Dorothy.
The Minors group will be "Instructional" for ages 7 - 8. A pitching machine will be utilized 100% of the game for the beginning part of the season. The machine will allow for increased player activity and speed of play. The objective is to increase the opportunity each player has to be involved in a play providing greater opportunity to enhance their skills.
The Majors group will be broken in to two age brackets. The age brackets will be 9 - 10 and 11 - 12.
WACYL/BUENA Little League Registration Ends Feb 18th. Ø Registration Fee: $75 per player (refundable if Registrant is not assigned to a team) Ø Late Registrations will not be accepted Ø Try-outs maybe required (coaches will notify players))Ø Games to be played at Weymouth Municipal Field and Melini Park in Buena (parents/guardians are responsible for travel arrangements) Ø Practices begin in March / Games begin on March 31st Ø Practices are scheduled at coach’s discretion (approx. 3 per week).
