WACYL Shacks

We ask that each parent/guardian set aside one game (per child registered) to work the WACYL Shack during their season. Signup forms have been emailed to each registered family and are also available on our website. We aim to make your shift as easy as possible, with operating instructions provided both inside each Shack and below for reference. Please let us know if you need anything or have any additional questions.

Important information for working the Shacks

• Only two volunteers are needed to work the shack during each game (one person per team), unless otherwise noted.

• Parents/Guardians, please visit WACYL - WACYL Shack Signup Links as soon as possible to pick your date(s) and ensure all of our games are covered.

• Please arrive 15 minutes before game time to open the shack. Follow the Opening Procedures, provided below and posted inside the shack, as a guide.

• Volunteers are encouraged to wear gloves while in the shack.

• Please track all game sales using the Game Sales Sheet provided in the shack.

• After each game, each team player will get two items from the shack. Team Snacks will be preordered using the Team Snacks Order Form and provided to the shack prior to the game. These orders are then bagged for each player during the game. Further instructions/tips are provided below and posted in the shacks.

• If you notice any items running low or empty, please leave us a note on the dry erase board.

• Parent volunteers are expected to clean the shack after the game and restock items for the next game. Please follow the Closing Procedures before leaving your shift.

• If for some reason you cannot make your shift, please try to get it covered or let your coach know ASAP if there is a problem. If a game is not covered, then it cannot be opened during the game and there will be no team snacks provided.
